Project On 32-Bit Micro-Processor Using VHDL

Block Diagram:
The processor contains a number of basic pieces. There is a register array of eight 32-bit registers, an ALU [Arithmetic Logic Unit], a shifter, a program counter, an instruction register, a comparator, an address register, and a control unit. All of these units communicate through a common, 32-bit tristate data bus. Refer the diagram-1.

It stands for VHSIC [Very High Speed Integrated Circuits] Hardware Description Language. It’s a hardware description language that is specifically designed to describe the organization & function of digital hardware system.


The microprocessor can be divided into three segments for the sake of clarity, as shown in diagram-2.
